Outdoor Removal in Greece, NY
Greece is where the post-war subdivision meets the lake, and the housing stock shows it: wide lots, ranches and splits built between 1955 and 1975, and a lot of first-generation decks and patios now well past their service life.

Removal work in Greece
The classic Greece property has a hundred-foot frontage, a driveway that reaches the back corner, and a deck off the kitchen that was built with the house or shortly after. Forty to sixty years of freeze-thaw on a structure that was never designed for it puts those decks squarely in the replacement zone, and the same goes for the concrete patios and driveways poured at the same time.
The good news is access. Most Greece lots let a trailer get close, which keeps the labour down and makes a multi-structure job — deck plus shed plus fence — realistic in a single mobilisation. Closer to the lake the ground is wetter and softer in spring, which is a scheduling question more than a price one.
Close to the lake the ground is the story. Sandy loam over clay drains slowly in spring, and a deck built on shallow pier bases forty years ago may already be heaving. That matters for scheduling: a job we would do in July without thinking is one we would rather do in August than April, because a trailer on saturated ground leaves ruts you then have to repair.
Lake-effect wind is the other local factor. Decks and sheds on exposed lots take far more weather than the same structures inland, and railings and roof edges go first. A Greece deck that looks fine from the kitchen window is often soft at the outside corner where the wind-driven rain actually lands.
What we remove here
- 1960s–70s wood decks, many with original railings
- Broom-finish concrete patios and driveways
- Sheds on slabs and skids
- Pool decks around above-ground pools
- Fences along the back property line
Access notes for Greece
- Most driveways reach the side or rear yard — best-case access
- Spring ground near the lake can be soft enough to rut; mats go down
- Larger lots mean longer carries even with good access

Greece questions
Can you remove a deck and a shed in one visit?
Yes, and it is usually cheaper than two mobilisations. Multi-structure jobs at one address are quoted as one project.
Do you work near the lake?
Yes. Wet spring ground changes the schedule rather than the price — we will tell you when it is better to wait for drier conditions.
Is spring a bad time to book?
Not bad, just slower. Wet ground limits equipment and adds mats and protection. If the schedule is flexible, late spring through early autumn is the cleanest window on lake-side lots.
